Teddy bear restoration - Before & After pictures

He is a really lovely brown mohair teddy bear from Germany. He arrived in poor condition and he was a little bit dirty so I cleaned him. (After cleaning them the fur is brighter and softer. )He had 2 holes in his face, his arms were sewn to his body (I guess the previous owner wanted to fix it) what I see frequently when I restore teddy bears. I replaced his pads to similar ones as he had originally. I was looking for information in teddy bear books to make his face and I stitched his nose and mouth. So that’s all I did. I think he is really lovely and I’m happy because I gave him a new life. :-)

I started restoring antique teddy bears 5 years ago. I am a collector and many times when I acquired a new teddy bear, they were dirty and poor condition so I tried to restore them. I started to learn how I could fix them little by little. I was so happy to see the result, since the change was significant, I wanted to "help" many more bears to give them "new life". :-)
